Why?

Col. Mojib's blood was the first to be spilled and his life was the first to be offered up as an indelible symbol of altruism and self-sacrifice.

This website is a very small effort to show our respect to him and record our heartfelt emotional tributes in profound recognition of his worthy life and work.

From him, we learned inspirational patriotism and a higher concept of honor and human dignity than anyone in recent time could have ever taught us.

COLONEL MOJIB TRUST:

Colonel Mojib Trust is a family foundation instituted to memorialize and acknowledge the legacy of Colonel Md. Mojibul Hoque to help those who are struggling with poverty and in need of assistance to improve their quality of life; and to infuse patriotism among general mass especially young generation for the development of the nations.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES:

(1) Ms. Nehreen Ferdousi, wife of Shaheed Colonel M. Mojibul Hoque.

(2) Md. Inamul Haque, son of Late M. Emdadul Haque.

(3) M. Emamul Haque, son of Late M. Emdadul Haque.

(4) Ms. Afroja Akhter, wife of Mr. A Z M Kamruddin.

(5) Md. Mohibbur Rahman Babu, son of Chowdhury Mujibur Rahman

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST

The objectives of the Trust shall be as follows:

• To support poverty reduction, skills development and improvement in the quality of life among the poor and vulnerable people including the young generation in Bangladesh; by giving grants or mobilizing resources for specific periods to projects and programs of community-level organizations, national and international NGOs, private enterprises, and other bodies of whatever form or association

• To foster the concept of patriotism and self respect and the spirit of enterprise in the Nation’s Youth through various focused programmes.

• To introduce young entrepreneurs to sources of business expertise through an advisory network.

• To complement other youth programs sponsored by private/public sector institutions.

• To acquire and invest funds, assets, movable or immovable properties, in order to maintain, promote and further the objectives of the Foundation as described in Article (a) above.

• To undertake activities which the trustees believe will help promote the objectives of the Foundation and do not deviate from its primary mission.

We do this by enhancing the lives of Bangladeshi youth by expanding the learning opportunities including knowledge, skills and attitude development options available to them, pointing the way to a future full of hope and working together to create that future.

BENEFICIARIES OF THE FOUNDATION:

The principal beneficiaries of the activities of the Trust Foundation shall be the poor and vulnerable people of Bangladesh with special focus on the young population. The beneficiaries shall be identified and jointly selected by the Trustees at their sole discretion.
